Time Place Event Description 8-9am Cox-Snow Music Lobby Registration and check-in Check in to receive a map, itinerary, and dinner meal ticket. Coffee, juice and light snacks will be served. 9-10:30 Upper Chapel All-State master class Clarence Padilla and Cynthia Doggett will give a master class on this year's All-State etudes. Bring your clarinet and your music. You are encouraged to perform so that we can give you specific feedback. 9-10:30 Recital Hall Orchestral Excerpt master class with Mr. Cohler A wonderful opportunity to perform excerpts for Mr. Cohler, or simply to observe and learn. 10:30-11:30 Recital Hall Potpourri concert by Iowa clarinetists Local professional clarinetists will perform a variety of works. Details will be posted at a later date. 11:30-1 Downtown Pella LUNCH Please explore downtown Pella and some of the unique Dutch treats! Don't forget the bakeries and chocolate shops! 1-2:30 Douwstra Auditorium Clarinet Choir rehearsal Everyone is encouraged to bring their clarinet (including bass clarinet) to this fun sight-reading rehearsal conducted by Joe Messenger! 2:30-4 Lower Chapel VENDORS OPEN Please take some time to visit the exhibitors who have brought clarinets, accessories, and music to the event. There will be door prizes, as well as drinks and light refreshments. 3-4 Upper Chapel Clarinet repair session A workshop on repairs that every clarinetist should know about. 4-5:30 Recital Hall Guest artist master class Jonathan Cohler will work with area student clarinetists on major repertoire. Bring paper and pencil, because you will want to take notes! Details on auditions for this opportunity will be posted at a later date. 5:30-7pm Central Market DINNER Enjoy a convenient dinner on campus, served buffet-style. This meal is included in your registration fee. 5:30-7:15 pm Lower Chapel VENDORS OPEN Please take time to visit our vendors before or after eating! There will be more door prizes as well! 7:30 Douwstra Auditorium Jonathan Cohler, Recital The final exciting event to culminate a day of clarinet!
